So far, my students have loved using this resource. We are using it as a method to develop understanding of how to write well enough to earn more points on the AP Exam. Walking them through some released exam answers and having the students "grade" the responses using the rubric is really helping to drive home the different tips/tricks that they need to use.

This is a great resource for guiding your students in AP World History through the SAQ (Short Answer Question) and with helping your students with improving their SAQ's with working on SAQ Corrections.

"SAQ Corrections" graphic organizer handouts
to help your students with understanding the key information and scoring criteria using the 9 Point scoring rubric.
Your students will be correcting their written responses from their SAQ's for any and all areas where their responses did not earn the points based on the rubric.

SAQ Rubric
to help you with grading and identifying the specifics of what students are required to explain in their SAQ's. This Rubric aligns with the 9 Point scoring guide that students will be assessed on at the end of the school year.

Depending on each individual student's scores on the SAQ, some students may only need to complete portions of the SAQ Corrections graphic organizer handouts based on their SAQ scores using the 9 Point Rubric.

Each of these handouts can be used with any SAQ prompt throughout the school year.

Short Answer Questions

This guide organizes advice from past students who got 4s and 5s on their exams. We hope it gives you some new ideas and tools for your study sessions. But remember, everyone's different—what works for one student might not work for you. If you've got a study method that's doing the trick, stick with it. Think of this as extra help, not a must-do overhaul.
