How to measure your size.


Measuring Tips to Assure The Best Fit.

A) Chest

With arms at sides, place a tape measure under your arms and run it around the fullest part of the bustline and across the shoulder blades.

B) Shoulder to Shoulder

The Shoulder to Shoulder measurement is taken ON THE BACK from one end of the shoulder to the other. Do not pull a straight line from these two points; follow the natural curve of the body.

B) Sleeves

The Jacket Sleeve measurement is from the end of your shoulder to the wrist. (Not to be confused with "Shirt Sleeve" which follows the "Center to Cuff" measurement.). This measurement should be close to the length from a jacket's shoulder seam to the end of its sleeve.

JURASSIC WORLD Owen Grady Costume

Hey guys, was surprised to see no one had started a thread on this costume so I figured I would share some of the info I've uncovered in the hunt to put mine together!


On a whim, I actually reached out to one of the film's costume designers via social media and much to my surprise he responded and was super nice and helpful.


"We made Chris Pratt's shirts as we needed so many multiples but it was indeed based on a tropical outdoorsman shirt from REI or some company like that. We looked at so many inspiration shirts, I can't remember which . It was also overdyed to give it a more organic earthy rugged look. We also made the leather safari style vest. Good luck!"


THE SHIRT
This came after looking at just about every safari/guide/fishing/outdoorsman-style shirt on the internet. I looked at the shirts on REI's site but none featured the unique details seen in the hi-res images released thus far. And then I came across the Men's Aransas Pass Long Sleeve Shirt at Academy Sports & Outdoorswhich is an almost identical match. The one catch is they do not make it in that grey blue-ish color. I ordered the vest for my brother believing for the cost it would not be the quality I had hoped. It was amazing! Fit perfectly to him no size issue. Leather quality was as nice as one costing twice the amount. Totally worth the investment

I have seen pictures of this vest, and it was a must have included in my cosplay. When it arrived, it exceeded my expectation, the quality/fit is perfect!! now I can wear this outfit every day because it's very good to wear too in the casual look.

My son is the fan of adventure movies, last week, he was talking about Jurassic movie then I decided to order that vest for him. He loves to follow these things. Size, material, stitching, everything is perfect in the outfit. now he wants some fake bullets and put them into bullet holes LOL. Thank you so much.
